The Dodgers and Yankees, who? Scrappy underdogs rule in this year’s Fall Classic, as smaller-market victors Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays vie for what would be the first national title for either team. The Brewers represent the National League, which holds a 4-2 World Series advantage since 2020, the last time the Rays made the best-of-seven finals. It’s the Brewers’ first repeat visit since 1982, when the team was still part of the AL and lost in a tight seven-game battle against the St. Louis Cardinals. After Saturday’s Game 2 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field, the action moves Monday to Florida’s Tropicana Field.
Téa Leoni and Tim Daly in 'Newlyweds' Season 1
NBC Series Premiere 8:30/7:30c
No one can say Téa Leoni and Tim Daly lack chemistry. They had plenty to spare on Madam Secretary, becoming a real-life couple while playing husband and wife. Having officially wed in July 2025, they’re at it again in a traditional sitcom as opposites who attract on a blind date, taking the plunge after a whirlwind courtship. The pilot episode stages the meet-cute between messy widow-with-grown kids Jeanie and uptight divorced-with-no-kids philosophy prof James, who hit it off instantly and give love a chance later in life the second time around. Jamie Lee Curtis co-stars as James’ flamboyantly intrusive and preening ex, Claudia. But the real scene-stealer is physical-comedy pro Bill O’Neill as Arvid, James’ eccentric teaching assistant from Norway who becomes quite attached to this romantic couple.

PBS Special 9/8c
Still basking in the afterglow of Wednesday’s Dolly Parton tribute? Another country-music legend gets her due in an all-star concert special, titled Tammy Wynette: Forever Yours, recorded in March at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. This tribute, introduced by daughter Georgette from Wynette’s marriage to George Jones, features her breakout hits “Stand by Your Man” (performed by Heart‘s Ann Wilson) and “D-I-V-O-R-C-E” (KT Tunstall), with a roster including Wynonna Judd, Lorrie Morgan, Gretchen Wilson, Kimberly Perry, Patty Griffin, Debby Boone, and more.
Terry Crews, Kay Adams, and Yvette Nicole Brown, 'Battle of the Streaming Stars,' Season 1, The Roku Channel, October 23, 2026.
Roku Channel Series Premiere
A TV staple of the 1970s and 1980s, the Battle of the Network Stars franchise has been rebooted several times over the decades, so it was only a matter of time before it entered the streaming universe. Roku’s version, from Peyton Manning‘s Omaha Productions, adopts a three-team format featuring actors, comedians, reality, and social media personalities. America’s Got Talent‘s Terry Crews hosts the good-natured competition, with the ever-game Yvette Nicole Brown as referee. The players, some of whom could give Dancing With the Stars‘ casting directors a run for their who’s-that money, include Akbar Gbajabiamila, Kel Mitchell, Tituss Burgess, Skylar Astin, Real Housewives‘ Dorinda Medley and Sonja Morgan, Loni Love, Bachelorette alum Rachel Lindsay, Nikki Bella, Josh Richards, Ben Hollingsworth, and Lizzy Mathis.
Helen Mirren and Lara Pulver, 'MobLand,' Season 2, Episode 5, Paramount+, October 16, 2026.

The Harrigan crime family enjoys a change of scene after barely escaping an assault on their English country compound by the devilish Frankie Cooper (Johnny Flynn). Retreating to the lavish Majorcan villa owned by bastard daughter Seraphina’s (Mandeep Dhillon) family, the not-very-happy family regroups and plots their uncertain future, with matriarch Maeve (Helen Mirren) lashing out at loyal fixer Harry (Tom Hardy). He’s more worried about his estranged wife Jan (Joanne Froggatt), who was left behind in London, and he has good reason. This war is far from over.
